Namibia-Second Day of Adventure

The next day we drove up into Namibia to visit Fish River Canyon and the Ai-Ais Hot Springs. Pulling into customs, we managed to kill a bird (see: feathers) in the grill of our car. We suppose Namibian birds are either much stupider or much slower than American birds. Sean tried to extract it by using two sticks like tongs, but ended up just knocking it farther in. Too much detail? Just be glad I didn’t post the close up of its sad mangled body.

The landscape (minus a bird and several hundred bugs from the front of our car) was unbelievable. That night Sean made us a big pasta dinner and we watched the local news (which was insane-the military went on strike for pay raises and the police went to break up the picket, violence ensued).

We went down and hung out on (our) beach for another amazing sunset. Michael and I celebrated.
